A NEW DAY... to Join The Journey!

Montana Missions.
We shared with some of you earlier how God continues to grow the group in St Regis. The first Sunday we had 15, the next week 17, increased to 20 and 22 in consecutive weeks. GLORY to GOD! We continue to celebrate the increase, the excitement, and the confirmation…

Some good news in the work in Haugan, as well! Two men came to the Men’s Breakfast last week who had never been a part—encouragement from Vern and Alan finally paid off! Of course, the Thursday before Easter was our Resource Center day. We were able to assist three families and had quite a good visit with one family in particular.

Celebrating Easter - Easter Sunday was a special celebration with services in Haugan @ 9:15 and in St Regis @ 11:15. We had a new family come for Easter Services in Haugan with a precious first grade girl… such a special joy and blessing! As a matter of fact, the Dad in this family had approached Alan two weeks after we moved to Haugan and adamantly informed him that he hated this church and would never set foot in it again! (O, never say “never”!) Then we rejoiced to have 27 celebrating with us in St Regis—this included two more new families! Following the late service both congregations enjoyed a covered dish luncheon around new tables and chairs which we hauled down from the worship center. We are hoping and praying for additional chairs and children’s furnishings soon!

In mid-April we had the privilege to attend the Church Planters Basic Training in Missoula at Convergence Church with Dave Howeth. It was a great time of fellowship, focus, and inspiration. We are so thankful for the leadership in our Glacier Southern Baptist Association and the Montana Baptist state leadership for their encouragement and equipping ministries.

Uganda Missions.
Alisha and Abdul were able to secure a pitch (soccer field) for the very first holiday session of Terra Nova Soccer Academy which begins tomorrow, April 26th. This is nothing short of miraculous since they had dealt with two different options which backed out at the end of last week. This did not give them much time to make new arrangements. And things do not usually move very fast in Uganda. One of the familiar sayings is, “T.I.A” – This Is Africa! So we are thanking the Lord for helping to make this possible in such a timely way.

Newdaynet.net
… our web site, has been upgraded and updated by our oldest daughter, Alana. She loves to use her talent and giftedness to help her parents and other ministries. Please take a look at the site, we are very excited about its function and design. And check out her freelance work at www.facebook.com/alanadamron. We are excited about what the Lord is doing through Alana in Louisville, too!

Specific Prayer Requests:

1. That the Spirit of GOD would draw, convict, and convert many people for the kingdom of God.

2. That the Spirit of GOD would protect every aspect of this ministry from confusion and any ungodly influence or evil source.

3. That you would continually pray 2 Thessalonians 3:1-5, “1Finally, brothers, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may speed ahead and be honored, as happened among you, 2and that we may be delivered from wicked and evil men. For not all have faith. 3But the Lord is faithful. He will establish you and guard you against the evil one. 4And we have confidence in the Lord about you, that you are doing and will do the things that we command. 5May the Lord direct your hearts to the love of God and to the steadfastness of Christ.”

4. We have three mission teams coming to western Montana this summer. Please pray specifically for the teams, the ministry while they are here, and for God’s results in all the work.
a. FBC Mixon TX team – June 29 thru July 6
b. FBC Fayetteville GA team – July 9 thru July 16
c. Smithwood Baptist, Knoxville TN team – July 30 thru Aug 6

5. That the financial resources would flow from the storehouse of heaven in order to:
a. Provide funding for necessary furnishings, equipment, appliances, supplies, etc. in order to “set up” church.
b. Meet the monthly payment of $665 plus utilities ($250 per month has been pledged currently)
c. Provide budget funds for ministry throughout the year [literature, food, materials]
d. That God will ultimately provide $90,000 to pay off the building note as soon as possible so that we may use our resources for ministry in reaching this valley for Christ.

Without hesitation we will continue to share every need as it pertains to this work in Montana. Of course, the most important item that we need is your unending, never-ceasing prayerful intercession. Please pray with us for the victories God has in store for this valley. The Gospel story of western Montana has just begun to be written! It never ceases to amaze us that when we focus our attention and requests on the Father, He provides in such a way that He alone gets the glory… and, after all, isn’t that the way it is supposed to be? So, to God be glory, for the great things He has done, is doing, and has yet to do!

6. Another pressing need is funding our trip to Uganda for Alisha and Abdul’s wedding ceremony on August 6th. We will leave from Spokane WA on July 24th and leave Entebbe on August 28th. So, as you can see, we are taking some valuable and extended time to visit Alisha, Abdul, and the Uganda work.

7. Extending Our Ministry Team… Gene & Pam Young are making plans to come this summer to help with the work in St Regis. They have a house to sell and much to accomplish to make this transition. Please pray with us for Gene & Pam!

So… Please send all prayers directly to our heavenly Father!
